Taking A Break

After a few busy weeks of trying to get settled in we were in need of some time away from the house. We went to one of the MetroParks here in Dayton, Cox Arboretum. It was a beautiful park and we enjoyed walking around looking at flowers and trees.
This was next to a butterfly house. It wasn't open when we went so we'll have to go back sometime and check it out again.

The kids enjoyed this part. It was a children's maze. The funny part is that Makayla stepped in mud and her flip flop was covered. We found a water spout and rinsed it off.I think their favorite part about the park was all the turtles. On the other side of this pond we sat and watched them swim around. It started out that there was only one by us but slowly there were five with their heads poking out looking at us. It was just like how the ducks are when you start throwing bread crumbs, they all come over to you but it was turtles instead.
