More Weekend Fun

The next day we drove up to Lake Erie area to go camping. We needed to test out our new tent that Hans got. We had plenty of space in it! That was even with Deja's kennel in there too. We found a little resort campground that we stayed at for the night. It had tons of spaces for RV's and a lot of them are permanently there. Basically they were summer homes for many people. We were in the tent area. They had a pond that you could go swimming in and the water was great. It had a nice beach area and the kids had fun getting up on the water trampoline. Makayla even had fun in the water with a trash bag tied around her cast.

After a while we headed into town to get some dinner. We were so hungry and Hans ended up getting the biggest steak I have ever seen. We had both done our 12 mile runs this weekend and Hans had actually done his that morning so he was SUPER hungry. I couldn't believe he ate all of it. The town was also having a festival so we walked around that for a little while before heading back to the campground.

The campground had an outdoor movie area and a pavilion area. There was a DJ there and the kids had a fun time dancing. Gavin is our crazy kid that will really get into dancing. Here he is breaking it down on the floor.

We also playing some Frisbee - Savannah is finally getting the hang of catching it.We also made sure that we could make some smores.

After staying up late (because we camped next to the pavilion with the DJ) we enjoyed the first night sleeping in the tent. The next morning we got up - ate some breakfast - and enjoyed another dip in the pond before packing up to check out Lake Erie.

We drove to a light house area that was beautiful. We enjoyed climbing around on rocks and dipping our feet in the water. It was chilly but felt refreshing. Here are a few snap shots.
