Pumpkin Picking

Fall is my favorite time of the year and we all LOVE going to pick pumpkins. This year we wanted to go to a different pumpkin patch. Last year our 6 pumpkins ended up costing over $70 - CRAZY!!! But they were nice big pumpkins. That was when we implemented our new rule that you have to be able to carry it yourself to get it.

Check out all these pumpkins - I love it!! So this year we headed up to Fulton Farms. They do have a tractor that will take you out to the patch so you can pick them yourself, but go figure when we went it was running. Still the kids found some that they were happy with in the piles of them.
Hans and I wanted to get a few bigger ones for ourselves so we thought we'd drive around until we found another place. On our way home we found a garden store out in New Carlisle. They had an awesome deal that you could have as many pumpkins as you could hold for $15. So....we after figuring out what the best placement was, we loaded Hans up with all the pumpkins.
He didn't have to hold them very long. We ended up with 8 pumpkins for $15.....not bad (and a lot of fun)

*notice my 26.2 magnet on the car....that's right I'm a proud marathoner!
