Easter

The kids were up and ready to hunt for some eggs around 7 am. Tristen was the only one that didn't want to get dressed up.We let Savannah and Gavin go out a little earlier than just to let then get a head start.
Tristen found the most eggs and Makayla found the last hidden one. I don't know how many times each kid would stand right under it and not see it. We had a lot of fun watching them hunt this year.

After all the eggs were found we headed inside and started right into the egg cracks - always so much fun. As a reminder - the egg cracks work by two people picking and egg and challenging each other. You count to 3 and then hit the eggs together. The one that doesn't crack is the winner - and the one that cracked has to be eaten before that player can challenge someone again. The person that wins the last egg crack is the ultimate winner of the day. This year was really funny because with 4 adults we started watching to find out each others strategies and laughing if they worked or not.I love how upset Gavin face looks because he has to eat the egg - but he did and was ready to take on SavannahI love this picture! It shows both sides of the emotion of playing the game. Makayla is so happy that she won and then you see Aunt Holly looking so sad that her egg cracked. Too funny!Tristen ended up eating the most eggs - and almost making himself sick. He was determined to win but I was the ending champion for the day!

We had a great Easter lunch before Holly and Dan had to leave to drive home. It was SO fun to have them here for another Holiday. After they left we planted some seeds. This year the kids all got seeds in their baskets and they had a fun time planting them. It was a great end to a fun day
